Foto: Alireza Khorsandi (CC BY-SA 4.0) via Wikimedia Commons<\/figcaption>\n\t\t\t<\/figure>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h2>The World Heritage Committee<\/h2>\n<p>The World Heritage Committee consists of 21 states parties\/national representatives responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>implementing the World Heritage Convention<\/li>\n<li>defining the use of the World Heritage Fund<\/li>\n<li>allocating financial support based on requests from states parties<\/li>\n<li>making final decisions on which new areas are to be inscribed on, or removed from, the World Heritage List<\/li>\n<li>reviewing State of Conservation Reports for the conservation of areas already inscribed and asking states parties to initiate measures in cases where areas are not being managed properly<\/li>\n<li>assessing the status of World Heritage sites on the List of World Heritage in Danger.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Half of the members of the World Heritage Committee are replaced every two years.[\/vc_column_text]\n\t\t\t<figure class=\"standard-image \">\n\t\t\t\t<a class=\"gallery\" href=\"#image-37248\" title=\"\u00c5pne stort bilde i felles bildegalleri\" data-gallery=\"37248\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"960\" src=\"https:\/\/riksantikvaren.no\/content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/fort-san-lorenzo.jpg\" class=\"attachment- size-\" alt=\"Photo of the ruins of Fort San Lorenzo.
